JCP Update (pics)

My JCP shed a couple days ago, so I thought I'd post some new pics. She grew about 3-5 inches and her yellow tipping is really coming through. She's a camera-wh*re and loves to go right up to the lens!

She's becoming more and more tolerable to handling and appears to enjoy her time out of her cage. She's also becoming quite inquisitive, but is still somewhat jumpy and very head shy.

Her ability to "cantilever" about 2/3 of her body amazes me! Enjoy!

Re: JCP Update (pics)

One more picture, although she hid her pretty face from the camera! I won a new camera, so I will hopefully be able to take better pics in a few weeks

Very pretty snake, i am amazed with my jcp ability to stretch right out and just hook "chin" over a perch at full length and still climb up onto the perch with no apparent difficulty. Equivalent would be me reaching fingertips over a ten foot wall and just pulling myself straight up.

Thanks!

Agreed, it's absolutely phenomenal! Such amazing strength at such a young age.....It's scary to think what she'll be capable of come adulthood...

Re: JCP Update (pics)

^^ Thanks Shaun!

A grappling hook is a perfect analog! She was "grappling" things the whole time I had her out last night.

She also let me pet her while she was in her cage without any reaction....this is a huge improvement. Also, she has decided to use flight as her tactic to "escape" being handled, as opposed to biting. Needless to say, I'm very happy with her progress and can't wait until she becomes a little more confident with me (i.e., I want to be a "thing", not a threat, not a prey item).
