Re: Hello

hello and wecome, what age is the boa,how long has it been since your boa last ate ? have you changed any of its living conditions since it last ate ? probaly be best you dont handle it and give it some quiet time on its own until you get it back eating.when i have non feeders i only change their water every other day and thats the only contact they get until i get them back on there food.snakes usually stop eating because they are stressed about something.theres plenty of things you can try, from changing food item, scenting food items, braining food item, the list goes on and on mate.if you could give some history of its previous eating habits,i'm sure we can get it back eating.
cheers shaun

Re: Hello

Hello and welcome! From the picture it's hard to tell. From what i can see of the tail it looks like a red tail boa. If you could get a picture with better lighting it would really help.

Re: Hello

Nice boa- it looks like a Nicaraguan to me. In order to help you figure out why it's off food, we need some more information, like shaunyboy said. When did it last eat, what did it eat, how old is it, have your temps been lower in its housing for the winter, has it been moved to a new enclosure or has anything changed in its enclosure?
