Rosy/ Sand Boa questions

Hello everybody,
Im brand new to the site so go easy on me! Im somewhat experienced with keeping reptiles as pets but am always ready soak up more knowledge...right now Im deployed but returning to the states soon enough (God willing)...anyhow, Im thinking about venturing into creating a vivarium and once its up and running, Id like to get a sand boa...I have actually been going back and forth between that or a Rosy boa. The only problem I have is that living in Arizona, my garage normally gets well into the low 100's during the day in the summer time. So here are a few questions right out;

- If these snakes are normally desert dwellers, can they take being in a room where the ambient temperature is going to be so hot in the summer?

- Do sand boas and Rosy boa viviariums pretty much comprise of roughly the same set up in regards to substrate and so forth?

Thanks everyone!

Re: Rosy/ Sand Boa questions

My understanding is that rosy boas actually prefer a cooler temperature than that. They like a temperature gradient from 75-85F and don't want temperatures over 90 F. They also need low humidity.
