Rescued Herps
Well today was a good day! Got a call last night to rescue a Ball Python and a Red Tail Boa. The guy dropped them off this afternoon. Came with four tanks, substrate, mice with babies and a few females pregnant! The Ball is a juve male with a mite infestation but should be easy enough to get rid of when quarantined for awhile. The Boa is a female approx 4-4.5 feet a little underfed. HE was feeding it mice not rats! Just didn't want them any more. he Was afraid of the boa but it is a little pussycat. So along with hmbrg that gives me seven snakes in three days! Yeah more snakes!!!!

Re: Rescued Herps
Wow- quite a burst in your collection. Kudos on rescuing the snakes- I always feel badly for animals whose owners get them and then decide "Oh I'm bored with it, or it scares me, or it's too big, or too loud, or too this, or too that.." A snake is a commitment due to their longevity. I'm glad the rescues have found a good home! I've taken in a few unwanted snakes myself, and I love them! No wonder my collection exploded in the last year..lol. Looks like yours is headed there too...how many total do you have now?

Re: Rescued Herps
Male, Female, and Undecided. I did not know what it meant for the longest time either.
So 1.0 is male
0.1 is female.
0.0.1 is undecided. Hope it helps.

Re: Rescued Herps
Speaking of sex, how do I figure out the sex of my BCI? The pet shop thought he was a he, but were unsure.
And yes, that helps alot, thanks!

Re: Rescued Herps
Lol...yeah I need to stop. I need a 12-step program. Not all of them are rescues, some I bought at shows. I do plan on breeding, probably next year. I've been doing research on the different species, and remodeling their room and all.
