Re: Canadian By-law - Brampton
If you're going to attempt to fight a by-law, PLEASE do so intelligently and armed with pertinent information rather than just a big mouth, vulgarity, and a puffed out chest. Doing so out of machismo or just to cause shyt does nothing but hurt the hobby as well as the public's impression of reptile owners.
As for bylaws; any responsible reptile owner knows their cities bylaws regarding the species they keep. Get informed. Knowledge is power.

Yeh typical Mykee
What ever, I am only going to call and ask questions, and I believe I did not use any vulgar language...
I am simply surprised, because that by-law makes no sense.
Perhaps, they can give me a less vague answer.

Smeagol, I was not referring to you specifically. I know NOTHING about you and would not pass judgement on your intelligence or lack thereof.

Re: Canadian By-law - Brampton
You did say you were going to "call and cause a ruckus".
I know when I cause a ruckus, it's not just 'calling to ask questions'
I am curious as to what the bylaw is (I don't live in Brampton either)...no pythons or boas at all?

Re: Canadian By-law - Brampton
It's the same by-law in Pickering. No boids of any kind. That does mean rosy boas and ball pythons. It sucks but it's the law that was put into place.

Re: Canadian By-law - Brampton
There are no family boidaeand family pythonidae in all of Saskatchewan the entire province . But you can have large crocodilians. Time for us reptile people to band together and fight to change all these reptile laws that are based in fear, ignorance.

Re: Canadian By-law - Brampton
Have we all heard of the American HR669 (#s wrong)
Laws based on biased information, with very little reason.
Perhaps the first step would be to draw a map of Herp laws Canada wide.
To fully understand, what the full picture is, then choose a best course to take.
Crocodilians? so no Ball Pythons, but you can have a 12foot croc?

Re: Canadian By-law - Brampton
haha i love silly laws. from what i've heard the whole hr669 thing doesn't really have a lot of steam right now. the few people i've talked to about really think it will fizzle out because of the resistance it is meeting here.
i think i would hate to live in canada because of the weird laws and everything seems backasswards there.

Re: Canadian By-law - Brampton
haha hey you really don't want to get in that convo. with me lol. if we didn't have so many immigrants from every other country because it is so great here then we wouldn't have any problems lol. actually we would be still its a cool place to live. In all honesty if i didn't live in america i would like to live in canada or somewhere tropical but canada is my second option to the good ol' USA!

LOTFLMMFAO!
I'm guessing the Redneck Tribe (as opposed to the more common, Un-PC "redskin").
