New beardies :D

My boyfriend and I got a sibling pair of beardies a few days ago. He actually ended up trading the tegu for them. They are 4 month old brother and sister and really showing German Giant traits. They are huge for 4 months! They're really nice, the female is the biggest dragon from the clutch and is showing yellows and whites with almost a completley white belly. The male is so cute! A little smaller but showing some lavenders and we were told he has shown red so we will see what he turns out like Both super friendly, healthy dragons.

the male...no name yet! I love his short nose haha

Ahahah! You're making me want another one!
I gave my beardie some mealworms today for the first time, he LOVED them. It was really cute to watch him while he was eating them.

Nice size beardies, what morph were they sold as? Its not very often you see true German Giants and I'd have to say they are pretty close if they really are only 4 months old.

If I were you I wouldn't be keeping them in the same enclosure for much longer. Even if they have been raised together, they will try to breed and breeding siblings is not a very good idea.

Re: New beardies :D

We just got them from a really local breeder, she just said German Giants and then she pointed out they were showing colours, maybe she mentioned what the adults colours were to my boyfriend.
We haven't even had them less than a week, don't worry, they'll be seperated
5 or 6 months ago I got a couple beardies and they guy I got them from said I could keep them together. I ended up with one little starving beardie and one big fat mean one. What a pain to get her healthy again..anyway learned my lesson

Re: New beardies :D

I liked the tegu, it was at my boyfriend's and it was at his house and he just didn't like it. He's really into beardies and is thinking about eventually breeding them so when the woman came to his house and asked if he wanted to just trade two for one he said yes.
I work at an exotic pet store (which is now closing) and we had 1.1 aregentine b&ws and I fell in love with them! The male...he's so damn cool. I was bummed when they left I wanted to take him home with me..Now I have no tegus in my life at all!

I like these beardies more than the columbian though I think...He went to a really good home.
