MMmmm, some mucousy substance

My pals are getting vetted for the first time on Saturday. I can't really wait. I've been taking good care of them, Grumpy McWhitelip is always a little wheezy (maybe why he's so grumpy) but everyone's environment is at a stable point. It's totally a preemptive deal and I'm pretty happy about that.

When I take Grumpy out and handle him, he leaves me with a mucousy substance, like firm snot. I was initially afraid it was coming from his mouth, it's not. It's coming from the other end.

Anybody want to guess at what that is before the vet does?

How old is he? He may be ready to breed and is just enjoying the company of your arm.

Likely musk. Does it have a "pleasant" smell? Mark

Re: MMmmm, some mucousy substance

Heh. He's about 5 years old. I haven't really thought too much about sticking it close to my face, so I don't know how it smells. I think it's just a product of trying VERY hard to crap all over me, but not having the 'ammo' available.

As far as the vet went, they sent me home with an antibacterial and taught me how to give the poor guys shots. They think they (all of them) may have a URI. They tell me that they could have had this for a long time, but shown now symptoms until it was aggrivated, probably by the demiting.
