Almost snake like!

Eastern Glass Lizard that came with the Burm the other day. Fast little bugger! LOL
Anyway there seems to be next to nothing about breeding them in captivity, so I thought it would be a neat project.

Indeed! LOL I was actually surprized....besides being a little wiggley It (don't know sex yet, still try to find info.) is fairly relaxed.....also I believe this one is a young or sub-adult....seems they actually get fairly good sized as adults.

Re: Almost snake like!

They really are interesting little animals. Funny, I don't think a thing about snakes having no legs, but legless lizards fascinate me because of that.

Re: Almost snake like!

They are so very interesting because they are almost like a "missing link" if think about it....almost snake like, but not quite.....they are just very unique and odd little things, they even taste the air like snakes tongue flicking in and out checking around for things.

Re: Almost snake like!

I find them working all the time. If I knew you wanted some I could have had a bunch of them for you.

No not really, In England we have slow worms, there legless lizards too.
The difference between snakes and legless lizards is that legless lizards have external ears, eyelids.

Re: Almost snake like!

LOL.....yes indeed, there actually several species of legless or glass lizards....that's funny. But not the first time I've heard people get a little confused about the subject.
