I have just purchased a Monkey-tail and from what I understand it is a female. Is there a definitive way anyone knows to sex these creatures? "She" is pretty thick bodied but has a more slender head than others I have seen so I tended to agree with the seller. I purchased her at the Ontario Reptile Expo on Sunday after weeks of communication with Port Credit Pets. She is my third species of skink I am keeping. (I have Tribbies and a Berber as well)
Aside from probing them, basic head and body shape are all you can really go on. There was a "paper" posted with links on kingsnake.com a while ago, but the measurements and such in that were completely bogus. Didn't match up with any of my Corucia zebrata at all.
