Hello everyone!

...From Finland.
I´ve been huge enthusiast of terrarium animals, but mainly tarantulas.
I´ve had couple of snakes, nothing very special.
Boa constrictor and Python Regius, and some lizards and other arachnids besides
tarantulas.

Nowadays I finally have lots and lots of space allowing me to get a larger collection.
It might be very good idea to associate with fellow hobbyists.

..Oh yeah, I run a kennel of Presa Canario dogs too.
AND we have alltogether three puny species of snakes living in the wild here in Finland.
Better keep my voice down before the last three species hit the road and were
snakeless.

Anyway, nice to meet you!

Exclamation Greetings

Welcome! I find Finland very interesting and learned much about your country a number of years ago. I am however very interested in what types of snakes you do have locally! Can you get pics? I beleive they all would be burmating undergorund right now though but in summer can you post some pics?

If it tastes like chicken :medteeths it isn't!

Yessir.

All but one species are totally harmless.
Vipera Berus, however, is not.

I can send you couple of photos as soon as they start to wake up.
It is usually around april.

Finnish viper can give you a bad bite, allthough it is not considered very dangerous.
People have been hospitalized every now and then.

Berus is not protected by law, so it is perfectly legal to collect one as a pet if
someone suddenly desires small and harsh viper.

We´ll see...
Vipera Berus is one of the widespreaded species of vipers.
It´s not that colorful and does not live in a very exiting enviroment.
Are you into vipers by the way...?
