red ear sliders?

I went to a local pet value and he had a res in a 55 gal tank and he looked amazing the guy who owns the place said he was 8 years old. how are these as pets?

To me they fall into the same catergories as iguanas .. they came make AMAZING pets but they are also one of the most unwanted pet on the market ..

Basically, If you are serious about getting one inquire about adoption and not bringning an other one out of the pet store ..

Long lifespan .. decent size, nice markings .. Ive never owned a turtle but have taken care of many .. My oppinion is this .. and animal that is aquatic is a lot of work!
