i new it!!!!!!
i took my boa magnus to the pet store today and they helped me out to determine what breed he was so they compared it to the other boas tey had which were bci. and he said that my boa has no relation ship to the other boas. and he said it looked to be born about 03 or 04 or(2003 or 2004). so he looked up in his booklet for the snakes he can order and cam e up with him being a peruvian or suriname redtailhe said that if it is a peruvian it would be a iquitos and if suriname then suriname from the southern part of suriname.

Most pet stores are full of crap. Not trying to piss you off, but he might be wrong.
Your best bet is to try and get a picture, post it or send it to someone and they will post it for you.. then you can get more opinions on what these snake owners think your snake is.

All we have are columbian BCI's as breeders but some look so different from the others it would be easy for people to think that they are a different kind of boa.
I would agree with the idea of posting a pic of it and going from there or finding a local breeder who is willing to take a look at it for you.

I agree, most pet stores don't know a snakes *** from it's head. The people on this site are very informative. A pic on the Boa forum and you'll know what specie you have.
I'd like to see a pic

I work for a petshop.....we deal lots of snakes....we do more hard to find critters and exotics and know our snakes, lizards, fish etc. The problem is that when a store orders from their wholesaler....the wholesalers send the order to the warehouse where a person with little or no knowledge reaches into bin A to pull out snake B and put it in box C.....they really dont know what it is .........

It looks like a guyana, but could possibily be a suriname as they are similar in apperance. IMO
