hm, i think your being serious. no there are not soaps for reptiles and soap is a very bad idea. what kind of snake is it? the only smelly snakes iv met are garters, mine didnt smell quite like flowers. my other snakes never smell. every time your snake goes to the bathroom you have to clean it out. if its musking, which is what garters and other snakes do and it does make them smell aweful puting them in water doesnt do much.

I've heard lots of people will wash there snakes with nix periotically, I don't my self, I just use water, but it wouldn't hurt, it is mainly to kill mites but should kill the smell too.

Are you serious. The only reason your snake would smell is because you're not cleaning properly.

Smelly snake

Possible reasons for a smelly snake can always be internal parasites. Cure that and you cure the smell at the source. My carpet python was like that until I de-parasited him and now all is great!

Smelly King

My sons first king snake died after just having her for a number of months, she was about 5 months when she died.
She had a bad odor to her . We told the vendor and even brought her to him but there was nothing we could do but keep here clean and hope. She stopped eating and died. The vendor, who is very experienced, said she probably had a disease and there was nothing we could do. However with her death we now have 3 snakes, all healthy, I guess her death brought a lot of snake love to our family. Hopefully your snake keeps eating and can beat it, ours was just a baby and we think that had a lot to do with it. GOOD LUCH.

There is nothing wrong with a little gentle soap in the water to help clean your snake just as long as it's not drinking it!! Definately not Nix though, works great for mites but i wouldn't suggest using it for periodic soaking for odours, thats just plain ridiculous!! I use a little squirt of dish soap in my soaking water all the time when cleaning cages and have never had a problem.

I agrre with Headdown, I occasionaly soak my snakes with a gentle soap after a defecation or a urate especailly if the snake lies down in the area. It doesnt matter how clean your cage is if you snake slides around in his urates or defecates its gonna smell.
