can u house an adult boa (mines a male) in a 43'' long x 19" deep x 6 3/4" high rubbermaid?

Nothing except the smallest, such as Tarahumera Dwarf Boas. That size still cuts the floor space down to less than 6 square feet, which is the bare minimum for most of the smaller end Bci, however many will require a bit more than that. I keep my males in 3x2 and 4x2 cages.

isnt the rule the tank should be as long as half the snake? so you would be able to house a five ft male in a 2.5 ft long cage? (correct me if im wrong)

well mine is in a 6Lx2Dx18 inches high right now but i want to put all my reptiles in one big 'box' so i would like something stackable, ill probably just go with pplan A and make them...my tank is for sale if anyone here is interested pm me for pics and actual dimentions

General rule is a minimum of one square foot of floor space per foot of snake, with an ideal balance of length and width dimensions (obviously a square won't give you a very good gradient, and if depth is sacraficed for length, the snake won't have adequate resting room to coil). This really doesn't allow much room for any type of decorations however, if you are interested in that.

i mean like a rack, but display tanks so it looks like one big square, sorry fir the confusion
