Hey Dave! I've still got a couple more months, and I plan to make the most of them! I'm currently in Cape Tribulation (far north Queensland), volunteering at a research station in the Daintree rainforest. This morning we had a cassowary almost come onto the veranda near the kitchen (we had to jump, wave our hands and yell to get it to back up) and I'm currently sitting inbetween net-checks of the nets we put up to catch blossom bats, which are being studied here at them moment.

I spent a few days in the Daintree... that was probably my fav spot in Aus. See many Boyd's forest dragons?

And so you know... if you catch a scrub, I will kick your ***!

LOL. Didn't find any scrubs. Spent a good amount of time looking though! I did find some cool stuff up there, including my first salty. I've moved west and am now in Katherine, trying to get up to Darwin before everything goes underground!

Dan
