Start low budget enclosure

Hey peops

I am out for some ELaphe or Lampropeltis snakes
and started a low budget enclosure/decoration project.
I can surely use some tips though, about anything actualy lol.
But my main problem will be keeping the temp up !
I only got one spotlight in it. and i still have no idea's about the lighting and heating and the water/bathing
My g/f likes to make stuff her own, and she wants to build a tree trunk with some roots, for a basking spot and a hide out.
I am trying to make a altar and sacrifice-thingy

Very agressive specimen of dutchman-is vulgair-is

Sacrificial terras in progress

Tree Roots

Hope progress will hurry soon lol,
Will keep you all posted, and please give hints and tips PLEASE

Looks pretty good so far, but that is the ugliest snake I have ever seen in that enclosure. He looks sick, I say you get'em to a vet and a new wardrobe

So far it looks pretty good, I am assuming your putting sliding glass doors on the front. Just a few things I have learnt over the years The more you put in there the bigger the pain it is to clean when needed. Now with that said if your willing to do the little extra cleaning then a well decorated cage is well worth it. Also your Heat lamp you will have to put some sort of barrier between it and the snake. A snake will climb up onto a light bulb and severely burn itself, I suggest modifying a piece of aluminum duct (the same stuff hey use to run heat around a house) attach it to the top of your cage with the light socket in the center. so that your bulb is inside the put screen over the bottom. so that the snake has no way to burn itself. And then make sure there is nothing the snake can climb on to get to it

That will work as well , my preferred way of doing it (when using lamps) Is cutting a hole just a tiny bit bigger then a reflector hood and screening it over, then there is no way the snake can access the bulb or the hood. Simple and effective. Any idea what kind of snake will be living in there ?

Thinking about putting some Elaphe or lampropeltis cali. (prob. desert phase)
My g/f has her hart sold out to red rainbow boa's ( ? )
We dont Live together yet, so a new enclosure for a red rainbow boa will have to wait.
we live in holland and i have no clue if there are any for sale (CB)
for an affordable price.
