Can we all get along, please !
EVERYONE:
It is time I do something very owed to the great community of people who enjoy and love there animals for all reasons be it whatever matter to each person.
My conduct in this forum since December 2004 has been very different from my overall norm since a member. I will admit I am being more vocal about issues relating to me. I will admit I may not do the same as some of you might in the same circumstances. My method is always to be respectful best I can. I may not agree with many of you but I never debate it either.
Recent threads (only 3) on my collection have gained alot of attention because the site records members replies and views of the threads. At current these are hitting record highs. I am not bragging it is only an observation. It is a shame the content within these threads did not bring the community to look, reply or better the community in any way. I am not calling out anyone or pointing fingers here in this thread and hope any replies do the same. I am not making this thread to battle it out with anyone and will not reply to anyone that feels they found another method to consider me a punching bag. Please let it rest with past issues once and for all.
I choose to write this thread here because many who have read those 3 other threads are not all into boas, nor know who I am or anything about my collection. So I am doing this here as a general way to reach the most members with what I am about to discuss here. There is no way in knowing on my part to see that all that saw those threads have seen my last replies as well so in fairness this thread gives me something to consider. Maybe if there is say 4000 views on this thread I could believe maybe people gave me a chance to see it from my side of things.
It does not matter to me what my accusers stated in those threads, because no hard evidence has been brought fourth. The statement innocent till proven guilty stands and I am a free man.
Anything that any member feels that I offended them with had no place in those threads. There are other methods on communication that would have settled the issues though they were not considering by most of the members. I do not have anything against any of you because I never dealt with 97% of you in business. So I see no reason to be offended either way. I have not bashed anyone here that was not already public knowledge between people involved and surrounding circles. So there is no reason to try this with me publicly (both here and the BOI). Personal agendas are not business practices; if I can leave my issues on all of you at the door please do the same with me. I think that is fair.
I will apologize for my past with anyone that feels I offended them. There is no need for me or anyone involved to bring it up again. Your getting my apology, please accept it. If you do not wish to please be man or woman enough to just let it go.
Much of this was planned to be said much earlier, but I did not feel the timing or the way I would try to explain this all would be fair to all involved. And on my part with a level head to communicate this best I can. Now I am at peace with the issues on how I understand them and hope you all do the same.
Rather than type this quote all over, it actually stands for what I am trying to achieve with all my animals in some form or another.

I am very secretive and anal about this project so please bare with me as I hope to bring actual informative breeding processes I have learnt and wish to share with the community. All I want to do is contribute something of value back to the world where I gained my first steps to the next evolution of the herp community.

I will not put up links of the other 2 threads mentioned or the thread on the BOI. If you wish to know about the whole circumstance it is available in the Boa Section of this forum. Nobody needs to put up links as alot of this is rather current on both forums. Also in both of my last replies on 2 mentioned animals, things are rather easily understood from my last replies.
Again I am sorry to all who got involved one way or another, I will be the better man and apologize, if you wish to do the same back to me that would be appreciated.
I want us as a community to be strong and proud of our animals and our ethics in the responsibility to our collections. I hope you all see this as well and we can all move forward with a new evolution of this hobby (be it small or large it is still a hobby).
Thank you all.
Peace
Tony Pharosx

You asked for the other thread to be closed, and then started a new one to basically say the same thing... I see this one going in the exact same direction, so i'm going to do us all a favor and close it..
Tony, if you would rather it be open to dicussion and let people reply, send me a pm or email and i'll gladly open it back up..

As per Tony's request, this thread is once again open for discussion. If it leads down the same road, it will be closed without chance of being opened again..
Please guys, let's not let this get out of hand..

I for one, though I have nothing against you Tony either personally or professionally am getting rather bored with reading these long-winded posts full of symantics about nothing "real". BTW, the reptile community doesn't need an unofficial "diplomat" of sorts either IMO.

I don't know you from Adam, Tony. But from reading the latest thread you referred to in the Boa forum you could have saved a LOT of trouble by just posting a pic of snakes you claim to have in your possession.
Reputation and perception is everything in this business and most of us really get our hackles up when offered lies or half truths.
Personally? I could care less what you have in your collection, the pics you posted were great yeah, and if you say they're your snakes that's fine. If they're tied up in CITES or can't be shipped yet cause it's hella cold that's fine too... But be truthful about it. That's what got everyone all riled up in the first place.
Do you owe the community 'proof'? No, not at all. But has this episode tarnished your rep? Probably. Innocent until proven guilty really only works in a court of law. In the business world it's quite the opposite. It takes years to build a good reputation and only a single bad mistake to destroy it.
I really have no clue why you went on in that giant post about how much you wanted the whole thing to just be dropped and then start it up again yourself, it makes very little sense. If you want to prove your detractors wrong post a pic of the snake in question on a recent local newspaper or something then tell them all to shut the hell up and apologize. Most of them will i'm sure. Your continued avoidance of that very simple solution lends a lot of weight to the claims people are making and at the end of the day it's you that looks bad because of it.
In general you seem like a level headed guy Tony, so i'm hoping that you've been on the level the whole time but if you have made mistakes now is the time to own up to them. And if you haven't I really hope your Rep can survive your pride man.

"A picture is worth a 1000 words" seems an appropriate quote in reguards to all this as far as myself & most here who have bothered to read all the other gibberish. I too don't really care much either way, but showed an interest as I was previously 1/2 owner of what was at the time the only Snow Boa in Canada (formerly Dwayne Ducka's, now the sole property of Dan Uremovic - CDN Captive Bred). I've heard all the BS for over a year now from many sources in reguards to the Snow (ya we all talk LOL), so I thought I'd personally check it all out. IMHO No disrespect Tony, but I personally would "Put Up or Shut Up" as the expression goes. These endless threads & essay like posts mean ditto. All this thread is doing is the same old song & dance. Will the music never end? Nuff Said Mark

Tony,
Your long winded reply did nothing to indicate to me that you did not copyright pics that you did not take.
If you have a lawyer working with you on this I'm sure he has spell check even if you don't.
Fine, don't give in to posting new pics with these snakes in question, but with the large investment you claim to have in the business you can't afford not to. Your choice. Simple as that!
Nobody is out to get you Tony.
By the way, I saw a man from outer space tonight. Due to the delicate nature of the situation I chose not to take a picture of it with any of my 3 or 4 digital cameras. But I've always been really nice on this forum so I know you will all believe me.
Carol
and by the way, that is my real name. My nic name is Minnow.
Always has been, always will be.

You lied to me! You have never even acknowledged you lies and wrong doings. I'm still waiting my damn apology which can be emailed too scaleszoo@sasktel.net
I am not wanting to wreck your reptutation or business, I've always just wanted you to be honest. If you wreck your rep along the way, it is not my fault.
See, all of us who've been in this longer than you, recognize your many tactics as just that. You should have been honest in the first place, one lie leads to another - and it just SNOW balled on you man!
I triple dog dare you to go me infront of a Judge!

Well it looks like a Snow Boa. I can honestly say I had my doubts as if you actually had it here yet (Canada), but it was your manner that created them. You are kind of peculiar in your ways as we all can be, but it appears to be Canadian. I'd say I'm sorry for poking fun at you, but it is in my nature too. As orginally stated hope he does well. Mark

TONY....im not going to apologise to you because I have not doubted that you had these snakes in your possesion. But you really should have put that pic up a lot earlier to stop all this fuss and bother. Anyway, good luck with the Snow. Beutiful snake.

I agree 100% with Minnow and Slannesh.
Did I think you owned the snow boa? Yes.
Did I think you had it in your care yet? No. I think it arrived during the same warm spell my Spider arrived. Either way, it's not an issue anymore.
Do I think you handled this well? NO, because of how damaged your reputation is now. But I must admit you kept a pretty level head. Kudos for that.
Did you owe anyone a picture? No, but it was a good idea to post one.
Do I think this will silence your "critics"? Depends on how you play the "game" from here on in.
I truly wish you the best in your hobby but can I trust you? I don't know that I can. Too much of this doesn’t add up for me… mostly the timeline of your actions and replies.
Will personally do any business with you in the future? I doubt it.
Do we owe you an apology? Yes we do but I don’t think we need to “beg for your forgiveness”.
If this was poker, you claimed to have pocket aces, we called your bluff and then you showed us the bullets three hands later. Did you have them twice or just the second time? Only you know the “truth” and probably only you care.
Tony, if you produce nice babies, you will do just fine. Your stock seems very nice. But don’t expect people to give you the benefit of the doubt just because you are polite and you ask for it. The real world doesn’t work that way. Trust is earned and it’s something YOU need to learn to give in return. I trusted you enough but I never felt that trust in return.
Saying I am glad this is over is an understatement. This has been the biggest waste of space and time in the site’s history.
Over and out. Peace in 2005!

Tony, first you tell me to close all threads that start about this topic. Then you tell Matt that he should leave this one open. Now you are saying you want it closed?
Listen here. I don't give a crap what the issue is. I don't CARE. But you aren't treating the mods and this forum like your personal toy. We just don't care enough about this BABBLE to waste our time tying to help you anymore. You also have no decision making powers here when it comes to threads being opened or closed. PERIOD. I simply told you I would allow you to say when the other thread should be closed. That was NOT an open invite to pick and choose when YOU want things open or not.
Get over yourself. This forum is NOT your arena to force apologies out of anyone.
I am closing this thread, but not because Tony asked, but because his nonsense new threads are wasting space and time.
