I got a new pet on accident

I bought a weaned rat to feed to my small ball python. The rat was just a little too big for my snake, so I've adopted him and named him Master Splinter after that rat on the ninja turtles. I've had pet rats before and i think they make great pets. My question is how long will it be until it's able to breed? I think it's a male but I'm not positive...

Males can breed well before a female. My males tend to be ready to go around 6-8 weeks (a month from now for you). Good luck.
