Yeh we're pretty lucky, he is always this mellow except when he's eating. Actually, even then if you put your hand in front of his face while he's checkin out food he will lunge at you but always licks first and stops when he smells people!! Startle him awake on the other hand and he bites first asks questions later!! LOL!!
