Snake ID

Hi all. Here is a couple of pics of my Grey Rat Snake. I have looked at loads of pictures of these online and cant find one with colours anywhere near the same. Anyone have any ideas as to if he may be not a pure or does he just look like a normal??

Regards

Adam

I think what you have there is a juvenile yellow rat, or even a greenish rat.

Juvenile yellows that are going through there color change do look a lot like this.It also looks like a Louisiana rat snake a naturally occuring intergrade of the yellow and grey ratsnakes. Many time replicated in captivity. I did it myself once and you would not believe the variety of color. Having said this juvenile yellows that are going through there color change do look a lot like this intergrade.
