Any help appreciated.

How big of a tank do I need for a pair of rats to live in for life. They will be pets and their offspring will be feeders. I can't find just a plain old fish tank that I can get a lid for. I have had no luck on the internet. I haven't shopped pet stores yet since it's an hour away. Or does anyone know where I can go to find out how to make my own racking system? I still need a tank though b/c the pet rats are going inside. Any help appreciated.

check your local newspaper/buy and sell ads. Most usually have tanks for sale. As for the rack take a look at this page. You can just change the cuts to suit whatever bin size you end up using. http://www.strictlyballs.ca/ratrack.html
