Christmas tangerines --- (lots of pics)
Couldn't resist the chance this weekend to grab a few pics when cleaning water dishes -
my old guy - pretty clean for his age -
close-up
younger adult female - she has moderate ticking but has been a great producer
the old girl - can't tell from this pic but she is well over 6 feet and thick.

A couple more - for variety!
Darkest -- my 'black milk' wanna-be. This girl is so heavily ticked - posted some shots of her in shed a month or so ago and thought I would follow up with her normal look - very dark hondo but het albino so I don't care if anyone thinks she is ugly!! The dark look has really grown on me actually.
to Whitest -- a few of Nemo - unfortunately he hasn't shed yet - due in a few days so still has a milky look to his color - (hate how the shed cycle is so prolonged when they are brumating) but gives some idea of his size and pattern. He is definitely showing the yellowing that some albinos develop, but has almost no evidence of white ticking on his orange bands. I can't get enough of looking at this guy.

Your blacky is my favourite! In fact I liked her so much I was spurred into getting my own hondo, who is also now in brumation too.

Very nice Mary,
Nemo is looking good as always and the gaigea wannabees also look great...
The blue irredescent reflection on the Het-Albino's is in my opinion, a pleasant feature. My AD male Het-Albino is even darker then youre female and this feature is quite striking on him. He is unfortunately going into Brian's collection and will be missed...
Happy Holidays to everyone

Not a huge milk fan here but when looking at hondos, I must say I LOVE the black tipping they get!
The cleaner ones you have are nice as well, but I think the ones with the most black are really nice.

Thanks for the kind words everyone - what I really love is the variety in these guys - even within the same morph there is something for everyone. The darkest ones really do grow on you but I have to admit to loving the high contrast of the tang albino.
Marc - I am sure Brian is going to love having that het male of yours - and hopefully he will be making lots of new possible het babies (or even more albinos!!)
Paul - didn't know you would be expecting albinos next year - best of luck with those breeding plans. I will be lucky to get any hets myself if Nemo decides to cooperate. Even though he is young, I will give him a chance with my smaller proven female. Het albinos will definitely be waiting another year or two to be big enough.
As pretty as my old guy is, he will be sitting out this year. He produced some nice babies for me, but is going to have to wait for my albino girl to grow up. Need to keep that genetic diversity up there - so I will be making (and keeping) lots of hets from diverse lines over the next couple years.

Whoa, that older male tang is SUPER clean!
The irredescence on the dark guy is kinda cool too. Don't let anyone tell you he's ugly, lol. I haven't met a Hondo yet that I've thought is ugly...
And what can you say about Nemo - just gorgeous, but I'm sure I've said that before...

Beautiful hondos Mary! I really like your older male tang -- he's definitely stayed nice and clean And of course Nemo rocks, as usual By far one of the nicest albino hondos I've seen!

Nice group of Honduran milks, Mary. I couldn't resist getting a little guy earlier this month at our herp society auction.
This Nov.'04 hatchling is 2x het/ghost and possibly het amel as well.

Thanks again everyone -
Mark - very nice new baby hondo - would be great if he turns out to be triple het - those are hard to come by!!
Brian - very nice plan to breed that het albino male to your female that produces all those great babies!! Maybe those of us out west will be lucky and you will be able to send some babies from that clutch out here!! Really looking forward to seeing those hatchlings.
