Temp gun question

I was in Princess Auto the other day and saw this for sale..

anyone use these? are they any good?

I can't seem to find the range on them, how far away do i have to be? i've got one of the little pro Exotics ones, but i'm wondering if this would be worth the move up.

+/- 2 degrees C which is +/- about 3.5 degrees F. I would say this is a big step down for herp applications as you are trading quite a bit of accuracy for a huge range that you dont even need.
