couple leaf tail questions

I bought a pair of lineatus last week and the guy I bought them off of had them together. (male and female ) . They were succseful breeders for him, but i didnt expect them to lay anytime soon. Anywho I was cleaning some cages today and I came to the females cage (i have them seperated now) and she had something in here mouth, So I opened the cage and she was eating her egg. Now the questions. How long can I expect her to keep laying after she is seperated from the male? What is the time span between clutches? and is it normal for them to eat their own eggs? Thx
