How do you catch them?

How do you guys catch those small skittish lizards?

I put my hand in a pillow case and grab them that way, I easily caught my crocdile gecko, med.gecko and green anole like that today..worked very well

a carefully placed fishnet usually does the trick when followed with a gentle grasp through the net.

I run 'em down and pounce on 'em; you've got to be a bloody acrobat though. Perhaps my technique is somewhat unrefined. I've only ever seen lizards in Florida and only managed to catch a few anoles and a racerunner (+ geckos but they're not too quick). Perhaps a net would be a little less strenuous.

Edit: Green anoles in Manitoba? And in November? You must be quite the field herper! That or were talking about captivity in which case I hope don't find yourself sprinting to catch them.

Yep, there a new sub-species..snow green anoles..they turn white as well ..j/k

I got them in a cage of course, I don;t want to hurt them when I catch them and my crocdile gecko has large thorns on him which can really hurt.

For less sensitive lizards such as anoles I just use a fast hand. For the more delicate ones, I use a deli cup and trap them in it, and slide the lid underneath.
