70+ lbs

did anybody get a chance to take a pic/look at that beast that was at the show on sunday?.
that is by far the fattest albino I have ever seen
where do you draw the line between heavy bodied and obese?
with these snakes , because if you ask me that snake looks obese? would I be correct in that assumption?

Yea. It was amazing!! I couldnt believe how hefty it was. It was just incredible.

I dont think it was obese, because I know bloods are one of the thickest snakes you can find.

While bloods are without a doubt, the girthiest in comparison to their length, many people still keep them overweight in captivity (not unlike other large pythons). I cannot comment on the snake in question, as I didn't see it... lol... or even know it was there! Only time I left my table was to go to the bathroom.

Any blood over 50lbs is obese unless its 9ft+ in my opinion. Yes bloods are definetly very heavy bodied, but they are not supposed to be HUGE. I recently exchanged emails with VPI, and Mr. Barker said that 95% of the bloods he sees are TOO fat. My striped female, that is just under 6ft and weighs 26lbs at the moment, is borderline fat. I'll try to get a pic up of my male blood, he is pretty much perfect in terms of girth to length ratio IMO. Blood do not need to be fed something their girth or larger when they are done growing(the main growth part of 2-4 years). Neither does any snake really.

You say albino? Thats cool, do you know who the owner is? Are you SURE it was over 60lbs? Lol, just questions from the curious. Thanks.
