Hi, I'd like to know the laws about importation of reptiles from the states: can I cross the borders in my car, buy a reptile or catch a wild specimen and bring it back? any special costs?
Thanks
Check out these recent threads - lots of info - basically the US Fish and Wildlife regs govern the export of any wildlife from the US - if you take anything out without inspection and being licensed as an exporter, you are breaking US laws. The Canadian customs that inspect you when you come back to Canada only apply Canadian law which is limited to CITES animals and turtles.
