Food you can cuddle with!

Well, my chondro has been really picky so far, and on his feed chart it listed hamsters a couple times, so I figured that I'd try it out...

The problem is, these little Dwarf Hamsters are pretty dang neat!

What a cute bunch of babies!! The dwarf hamsters have much nicer personalities than the Syrian ones too - we had one as a pet for years - great little guy!

I'm afraid that the girlfriend will be keeping a couple as pets no doubt!

I had a couple as pets before but they were mean; if I had snakes back then, they definitelty would have been food.

hampsters are *almost* as bad as mice for pets. Vicious little monsters! don't let the cuteness get you, they will eat each other and bite you! They should all go for feeders!

That's the plan... the guy told me that they are notorious for biting, but that none of these had bit yet (strange) and they haven't got me either.

On a positive note, my corn who won't eat rats (go figure, a picky corn!) ate one of these guys! Now to see if the chondro will...

If your girl friend keeps two as pets just make sure its a pair so you can feed the babies. You might as well get something out of keeping them.

Lol Brent, maybe they are trying to stay on your "good" side and being as cute and cuddly as possible to get a stay of execution

To the latest news, i've found that dwarf hamsters are the most nippy hamsters of all! We don't event sell them anymore at the petshop i work at because they keep bitting the children!

dwarf hamsters=evil

Dwarf hamsters are evil!..dont let the cuteness get to you!. Everytime i tried picking up or petting my Gf's dwarf hamster it would this weird noise(kinda like a scream) and bite me!...She can't even play with the thing because it bites all the time and gave it to me so i can feed it to one of my snakes hah.

Don't worry, I finally got dry ice yesterday and the dwarves as well as MANY rats have now found their way to the freezer! It smells so much better over here now!

Dwarf hamsters do not eat each other. Only the Syrians do. BUT, dwarfs have to be repeatedly handled to maintain their tameness. Syrians on the other hand, stay tamed even with irregular handling. Both are demonspawn.
