Mandarin Ratsnakes

We were just wondering if anyone was interested in Mandarin Ratsnakes? Does anyone work with them? Since we are getting a few, we might have some extras. We won't mind hearing some info on them. They will be Hunan and Red morphs.

Hey guys, are you getting imports? I would strongly advise against it. Save your time and effort and get c.b.! Although I have had fair luck, the average is probably less than 20% for keeping them(imports) alive for more than 90 days. Serious shotgun treatments are in order. Flagyl, panacur, along with some other meds are needed. The worms are fairly easy to get rid of, but you'll need to get fecals done to make sure the coccidia are gone(low- tolerable)The initial cost of w.c. will be lower, but the meds and time involved will even it out. Then they may not feed on their own. They stress VERY easily. If your getting c.b. then you will likely have no problems. If you think I can help, let me know.-Mark

Hatchling mandarin rats (c.b.) are from around $250. U.S. and up. Like I said, you can get imported juvies and adults for much cheaper, but the headaches and heartaches are real. Even if you hand pick from "fresh" imports, it's a gamble.
