Greatest day!

As some of you know I was planning on building a rack for the snakes I currently own. So me and my dad yesterday got all the wood from home depot and began making some plans.

So today, I get home from school and I see him and his work partner have come home early and decided they'd surprise me and start the project.

So I walk up to him and was really happy id finially be making the rack as he was really upset before about how much electricity I was using, almost forcing me to sell most of my collection. I ended up not selling anything thankfully. So he asks me to see if the rubbermaids slide easily enough and still able to be tight enough so the snake wont get out. So im pulling in and out and out of no where I see a boa!!

He was officially the coolest dad lol. He bought me a common boa constrictor for my late and partial birthday present! I was so incredibly happy and was so shocked, I had no idea what was going on lol. So I got the boa I was talking so much about with the forum and my parents to allow me to get a relatively larger snake. I couldnt believe it and I still cant.

Ill get some pics up of him/her asap and ill get some pics of the rack system once its in my room and all set up.

What a day!

Thanks for reading.

PS: He has a really really nice reduced pattern on the side of him and isnt the cleanest boa, but doesnt have to many black specs. He is amazing either way though!

EDIT: Is a common boa a bcc or bci?

See usually my dad just threatens to step on my snakes if he sees them out. Very cool present indeed. Congrats

Here are some quick shots of the new guy. I took these before I put him into his enclosure. Ill get some better ones soon enough And some of the rack, but my batteries died.

He took a big crap today already. Much bigger then a ball pythons fecal and their about the same size.

Damn, you guys are so lucky to have such cool parents! My parents won't even let me have an herp, even a cornsnake. They say I need to save money for my upcoming studies (cegep and university), and they say that after buying all of needed stuff plus mices and all, I won't be able to afford myself good studies. I know university is expensive, but I really know that it's only an excuse because my mom is afraid of snakes..

If I were you, I would let your dad know that he's the best
