Ah rats. Hold back growth rate.
BPF7 was born on the 19/07/04 and weighed 63g. Not big for a hatchling ball.
She ate one fuzzy mouse and 5 fuzzy rats since 03/08/04 Six meals since the 3rd of Aug isn't exactly power feeding and still she has doubled her weigh since birth.
Today as you can see she weighs 141g.
Thanks for looking,
Trevor

Trevor, Nice looking girl. I've got a female holdback ball that was born 07.11.04 and is almost 375g. She'll eat a 35g hopper rat every three days if she could (almost does).

Baby or adult; if they'll eat, I'll feed 'em. Though if it continues at this rate, I'm hoping my own common sense kicks..

I wish people on this site would stop using words I'm not familiar with.lol
Mykee can you imagine how big I would be if I ate everytime I was hungry? I guess my point is that maybe just because they will eat doesn't mean they should eat.
Cheers,
Trevor

I don't have a scale but I got two babies from Cranwill and they have exploded in size. I got them in june and they have probably quadrupled in size since. Every 5 days.

Trevor, I'm with Mykee on this. Every 3-5 days is ok, in my opinion, as long as the meal size is adjusted accordingly. But I don't think a bp would eat until they burst or anything.
One phrase that kind of sums up a little bp raising secret is "<i>Strike while the iron's hot</i>". Sneak every meal possible into them while they will take it.
mark129er, I'm glad to hear they are doing well! Any luck with that BB yet?

She looks like she is in need of more food!
I think Timny has a good point there.
Good luck with her, she is very nice!

There is no denying that we should feed them while they will eat. Because in balls your window can be short. I think one thing to remember to is we are talking about neonates and not full grown male adults. There is a difference. We can feed growing babies this way but I would argue against it for adults. I don't think I'll go any less than 5 just the same.
Robitza,
This is a hold back. I do have two of her brothers for sale though. PM me for details if you're interested.
Cheers,
Trevor

Just thought I'd throw up a pic of this little fatty. Note her body is in good relation to her head, and she looks chunky, just like a well-fed baby should. First pic is of her being weighed, and second pic is of her next to one of my het albino females who is 2 weeks younger, a decent eater on fuzzy rats, and 127g. Note, her siblings (DOB 07.11.04) weigh 254g, 273g, 358g and 425g respectively.
