Well, once a week is a pretty good schedule, and f/t rats a little larger than the largest part of his body would be a good plan. You can try feeding more frequently than that. My BP eats every 2-3 days. It really all depends on how much the snake will eat. It doesnt hurt to offer frequently.
In terms of growth, Im not entirely certain if the snakes growth will be stunted or not, but Im pretty sure that most snakes continue to grow all their lives, although their growth rate will slow significantly once they reach adulthood.
Either way, the snake needs to be fed more frequently, or at least regularly. It is sad the snake is not in your care. I hope his owner will come to remember his responsibility toward his pets.
Male snakes tend to be smaller than females, and their size in general can vary from 3 to 5 feet. If you knew the specific length and gram weight of the snake, then people would be able to offer more detailed insights about his current condition.
