raising rats

I'v enever done it before (and dont know if I want to), but I thought I'd get some info. How long does it take for a rat to reach about 150g? what kind of yield would I get from a 1.4 colony of rats? For those of you raising adult feeder rats, at what point do you take them out of the breeder cages, and how do you keep them after that until they are ready?

Thanks.

as to how long they take to reach 150, i dunno, they never get there lol. but i do have a colony of 1.3 and i have just recently taken out the male, all 3 females have had young..i got about 12-15 (pinkies+fuzzies) in there now, plus ive already fed a few..you should be well off with 1.4...

good luck, for what its worth, it IS saving me cash...
