Our 'yellow-bellied' ratsnake??
We bought this guy from a local petstore because I saw him and just had to own him - he was about 2 feet long at the time and advertised as a yellow ratsnake. We have shown him and his photos about various lists and experts and no firm conclusion yet - other than that he may be a striped bubblegum (has never had blotched appearance) or an albino everglades and is most likely some type of crossbred.
He is about 6 feet, a girthy, strong ratsnake. Vanan saw him in Red Deer and compared him to a bullsnake with respect to the powerful build - definately different from our corns. He is a wonderful 'show' snake - tolerant of all the kids and remains one of my favorites - just a pet - love his 'smiley face'.

That's a very nice looking snake~
I don't think that its a snow striped
but that is an amazing snake
maybe a hybrid of some sort???
But its really a looker~~

Could he be an albino yellow rat snake/everglades rat snake? Sure is a looker

Julie - certainly the albino yellow crossed with everglades is possible. He isn't yellow enough to be just albino yellow rat (as well as never having blotches) and the everglades could explain some of the color. I think that type of cross may be behind the original bubblegum ratsnakes that Kathy Love developed - she looked at pics and said he wasn't tyical, but you never know what people put into the mix. Though I would love to have more like him, he isn't scheduled for any breeding programs - just staying a pet and demo snake. Is a neat looking one though.

weird... thats what happens when you keep on playing god. im guessing a snow corn cross with an albino stripe cal king. but it can be anything......

The head is slightly pitish but my money would go on albino/hypoxanthic yellow rat. Very interesting. I assume it is WC?

Yeah, the chances of finding a wild one are slim but if it was CB than we would likely see others like it up for sale. Perhaps it is something like a white-sided black rat. There is a 'white-sided everglades rat' on kingsnake right now. http://market. kingsnake .com/detail.php?cat=60&de=250762

I haven't seen an adult but I wonder if that's what you've got.
