No More Crickets/Worms/Veggies?

I've been skimming a few new sites recently, and have found many articles and beardie care sheets that say within that the owners have since stopped feeding their beardies vegies and bugs of all types, and are strictly feeding bearded dragon food pellets as a perminant and all time replacement. I personally like to use a mixed varity of diet on most of my animals I think they enjoy it. Of course this could be in my head but who or what would what to eat the same thing everyday.

I just would like to hear everyone input on this, just trying to help myself gain further knowledge of anything I can

I feed pellets regularly but they do get tired of them if you offer nothing else. some days I will mix veggies and pellets, some days veggies, some days just pellets. they also get a variety of live prey but usually in the afternoon after they have had a chance to eat salads. Keep in mind feeding Whole foods like pellets or Dragon Dust means NO ADDITIONAL SUPPLIMENTS! or you can oversuppliment your BD!!!!

Thanks, I know not to give them their extra supplements with pellets, but what would you concider oversupplimenting? I put a pinch of calcium on their salad everyother day, and put a pinch of the vitamin pouder on the other days and it contains no calcium so their not getting too much calcium. Is this too often? I know I supplement my other lizards less, but they dont eat daily either.

The main reason behind the pellet diet is because of 2 things.

1. Supposedly not having to feed anything else or use of supplements.

2. No chance of getting parasites from other food sources, ex. salads (may contain parasites) and feeder insects like crix.

The breeder i bought mine off of swear by the pellets and offer nothing else. There beardies are ALWAYS in top notch shape from babies to adults.

I myself feed pellets only to babies, no salads and no insects at least for the first few months. It has worked out very well for me, all of them have been in great shape and great eaters. Although for my adults i do give them pellets, insects and salads, the exact reason is that i personally feel variety is the best for them and i also get a yearly fecal done on ALL my herps so if a parasite is there i will catch it. Doing things this way i haven't had one problem. Now others may agree or disagree either way it doesn't bother me because i know i've put in alot of effort researching both methods.
