not quite complete shed

my ball python Killer just shed for the second time since i got him. the first time he shed it was in a bunch of pieces and took him a while to get it all off. i know that isnt good and something must have been wrong so i started paying better attention to his cage condition and everything. this time he shed in all one piece except for about the last half inch of his tail didnt come off and i had to rub it a little bit to loosen it. but everythign else came off clean and neat. is this still a big problem? what should i do differently? any advice is welcomed.

Congratulations on getting a better shed. It's all too-common recently that not too many people would have taken the time or effort to actually try to figure out what was wrong. Commendable. I would keep the humidity at 50-60% when your snake is not in shed, and over 80% for the ENTIRE time your snake IS in shed. Without any background information on your husbandry, it's hard to tell otherwise. Provide us with your husbandry and we'll do our best to help you out.
