There is actually a condition called Feline Cutaneous Asthenia. Also, the pic in the article is very similar to the Manchester winged cat.

That's kinda cool! It's too bad that they killed the poor thing though. But then agian if you don't know any better, you do what your tought to do, which is fear the unknown.

Just curious, the second article has the exact same picture labeled Manchester Winged Cat (1960s), and yet the first link says it is from Russia and the "created date" is from last month? Odd

That was HORRIBLE! I would have taken that cat. It would have been cool to have a winged cat.

"Very similar" my butt! If you read through both of the links you posted, the bottom link that talks about winged cats has the EXACT photo in it that was used in the article, but its captioned the "machester cat." from 1966.
