Being a school teacher and a snake keeper I often get asked to do "snake shows". Unless it is directly related to education I always say no because I think snake shows are stressful on animals and I like to keep mine as stress free as possible.
This show however was a little different. It was a snake cyber camp. 15 kids came to our local access center where they took part in a cyber scavenger hunt. Each team was given a list of snake questions that they had to find the answers to on line. Kids learn by doing so it was more meaningful for them to find the facts on line rather than me telling them to them.
After an hour of on line work the kids had a choice of three snakes they could have their picture taken with.
