Unhappy not looking good

well, as it turns out, im about 99.9% positive my veiled is gravid. i put a bucket of bed-a- beast in there for her, but she hasnt used it. today i went downstairs to change thier newspaper and stuff, and she was on the floor of her cage, again. except she wasnt moving, and she was very very dark, i thought she was dead because i opened the cage and she didnt move. i poked at her to see if she was moving or anything, but she didnt. then when i went to pick her up she started hissing and tried biting me a lot of times. i finally picked her up and put her in the bucket, and im gonna go check on her soon to see if anything has happened. i hope she's ok, but by the looks of it, she isnt.

Same thing happened to a friend of ours. The chameleon died from retaining her eggs.

What I think would work best is if you put much more (and I mean quite a few inches) of earth on the bottom. Chances are she didn't use the bed a beast cause it isn't suitable for her eggs (she prob didn't find it deep enough or moist or any reason). Put a much bigger quantity of earth in the enclosure, I am pretty sure she will start digging.

You could also put her in a tall bucket or something filled with earth soes she can dig to lay her eggs.

As long as she doesn't find a suitable place for her to lay, she will retain the eggs and become egg bound and die from it.

get a garbage can mix it with your bed a beast and earth, make sure its moist and she can dig without it collapsing on her. Leave her in the garbage can for a while with a heat lamp oon top. What i want to know is, is she lying on the flooor like shes dead? If so i think it might be to late, go see a vet? cause what it sounds like is that its lying on the floor dead lol not to be meen just trying to make sense of whats happeniing, hope she pulls through
