Northern Ontario programs this month

Wow, what a busy year this has been so far, and the show schedule is about to go nuts! I just wanted to spread the word that we'll be doing programs across a wide swath of northern Ontario over the next three weeks, so for any of you folks up there who never get a chance to come out to a program down here, now is your chance!

Most of the programs will be at provincial parks and public libraries, so they are open to the public if anyone wants to come.

Here's the schedule of the public programs:

July 11 Arrowhead PP, Huntsville 10:30 Finlayson Point PP, Temagami 3:00

July 12 North Bay Public Library, 2:00 Marten River PP, Temagami 7:00

July 13 Halfway Lake PP, Sudbury 7:00

July 14 Wakimi Lake PP 2:00, Ivanhoe Lake PP 7:00, both 'near' Chapleau

July 15 Timmins Public Library 2:30, Kettle Lakes PP, Timmins 7:00

July 16 Esker Lakes PP, Kirkland Lake, 3:00

July 19 Sudbury Public Library, Chelmsford Branch 7:00

July 20 Sudbury Public Library, Main Branch 10:30

July 21 Neys PP, Marathon 8:00

July 22 Sleeping Giant PP, Thunder Bay, 7:00

July 23 Kakabeka Falls PP, Thunder Bay, 7:00

July 24 Blue Lake PP, Vermillion Bay, 3:00 Rushing River PP, Kenora, 7:00

July 27 White Lake PP, Marathon 7:00

July 28 Lake Superior PP (Agawa Bay campground) 7:00

July 29 Sault Ste. Marie Public Library 11:00 (this one still to be confirmed) Sudbury Public Library, Dowling Branch 7:00

Perhaps we'll see some of you!

Also, in case anyone is trying to reach me, don't expect replies to any emails between now and the first week of August! I'll still get phone messages regularly, so if you need to get a hold of me, that's the way to go.

Hey Renee,

Can't wait to meet you in person!

12 shows in 6 days over nearly 2000 km of northeastern Ontario was fun! Not much spare time, but we did see a few common herps, plus a couple of bears.

The next trip is going to seem like a vacation:-) Fewer shows, more days, but more driving... We'll have some time to look for western painted turtles and red-sided garters, of course! Anyone from Thunder Bay to Kenora area have any suggestions for good places to see any?

Good brook trout fishing spot suggestions also appreciated:-)
