Giant african land snails...

Been seeing these for sale in a few local pet shops and was wondering if these are legal to keep as pets here in Canada?Found them kind of interesting so I Did a bit of net surfing on the species and most of the sites mention them as being totally illegal to keep in most, or all American states.

Yup they are cool, but unfortunately prohibited here too by Agriculture Canada.
They're on the no-no list with tropical roaches, mantids, and stick bugs

As far as i know, they're illegal in all of North America.. You might want to mention that to these pet shops.. There's another thread about them somewhere on here, i'll edit this post in a minute with the link for you..

How do these pet shops get their hands on these ?.Wouldn't they be first ones to be warned that they are not legal for public sale?
