BOOOOOO Calgary.
I'm not rooting against Calgary...but being a life long Oiler fan...I just can't root for them.

GO FLAMES GO
What can you say, they are bringing the cup home where it belongs. And even if for some strange reason they don't who cares look what they did this year and the sprite they brought back to Calgary.

Yeah the fans have been crazy! Down on 17 ave (its the party central) there were around 40 000 people after the win last night.

There are no words to explain the excitement in Calgary right now. It's utterly insane in this city! Think about it.... 8 years not even making it to the playoffs... right to the Stanley Cup FINAL?!?!?!?!
After every single game, you'd think they already won the cup, this city goes so crazy. Exciting times for Calgary! GO FLAMES!

Good to hear Mike. We wouldn't have it any other way. Tables turned. I'd be the same way. A lot of newer fans enjoy the rivalry, but without experiencing the 80's and early 90's the way we did, there just isn't the same mutually respectful hatred.

The only things I like about the Flames winning are local products, (like Iginla), doing well and the best part...

Well folks again 17th Ave went APESH!T! I spent 4 hours down there in the rain enjoying the sights & blowing my airhorn. I thought the floor at Metallica was wild, NOT! There were times on 17th last night when I could not even move for 5-10 minutes (I'm 6'2"+ 220 BTW) there were actually people "body surfing" the crowd it was so packed! Replicas of "Stanley" were every where. There was laughing, crying & mostly screaming going on. Fans were adorned (or not WOO HOO!) in all kinds of gear. I saw guys in full hockey gear everything but real skates (some had blades) & others in nothing but boxers & "athletic supports" LOL. I have slight whiplash from all the rubbernecking I was doing as it was "Girls Gone Wild" LIVE! Anyhow BRING ON THE NEXT COURSE!!! I think some "Philly Steak" would go DOWN quite nicely LOL GO FLAMES GO! Mark

Let's hope it's Philly for 2 reasons:
1) Tampa has had our number all year, but we've beaten Philly several times
2) I would give anything to see Oliwa beat the everloving snot out of that cocky b*stard Brashear. I hate him. I want to see him sans teeth.
But one way or another, this will be a Stanley Cup final that will be talked about for decades!!!

That's the problem. I wouldn't mind so much if Calgary wins except that we'll never hear the end of it.
You had the Olympics in 88...still hearing about that.
