Late night herping
Went out just after a brief shower road cruising with my son. Along the way we saw a few peninsula ribbon snakes, eastern garters, and 1 really nice cornsnake--all dor. Then just after being startled by a cow in the road, we found a MILK snake.. (ahem..sorry for the pun)
Here's the pretty scarlet king (found in the road at 1:00 am. ) in some better light.

Cool,
it was a paved road we cruise often. We see corns and scarlet snakes (cemophora) often as well as scarlet kings yellow rats, pigmy rattlers, waters, garters, and ribbons. A friend saw a scarlet, a scarlet king, and a coral all on the same night recently!
Lrptls,
