I've always loved how the pattern runs through the eye like that.

It's very cool. It's one of the things about their appearance I find most appealing

Yup.... all colombian BCI will have the eye stripe going right through the eye. I also think that is one of the most appealing physical features of the BCI.
Erin pointed this out, and I couldn't agree more... in general, boa constrictor is just overall a totally HANDSOME snake, aren't they? I mean, everything about their appearance is appealing, especially the faces. They have genuinely beautiful faces, do they not?

It's colour seems to also be influenced by their body colour... I believe anacondas have the same thing happening in their eyes but I'm not sure.

I have to agree 100%. I am so in awe of my new baby. His looks, his temperment. If it weren't for the size, I'd think it would be a great beginner snake.
I love the eye stripe. I was looking at my hoggie earlier and she has it too. I don't know why I didn't notice before.
But yep, definately one of the most gorgeous of snakes
