I got ahold of a digital camera and took a bunch of pictures. Some are old, some I just took.
As you might have noticed, I'm not the best with the camera, but I'm working on it! Now I'm planning to get my own digicam, so we're heading to Penticton on the weekend to try and find one. Hope you like them.
Ribbon snake enclosure, feel free to point out anything I need to improve on.
Random picture of the Okanagan Valley last spring. My house is just behind some trees there.
This is what I used to look like with long hair. It's the only decent picture of me I could find. Don't mind the cake and the... sidewaysness.
The guppy tank, it isnt very clear but you can get an idea of what it looks like:
One of the female rats, Errin. This is her 'Leave me alone I'm trying to sleep you jerk!' pose.
My chubby cat, Misty. He's even fatter now, believe it or not. He's super-social though, an awesome cat.
And another one:
The rat snake's enclosure.... I wouldn't get another one of these just because the visibility sucks. The tank itself is lightweight and escape proof with good ventilation, but I like to see the snake and looking through this thing is so dark.
The gravid eastern ribbon snake basking on the tree. The tree is just that christmas wreath stuff from wal-mart, 45 cents a week after christmas. I bought like fifteen pieces, and my closet is full of the stuff. It's great, you can wrap it into different shapes and cut it the lenght you want. This big girl is in her pre-lay shed now, so she should be having the babies in late april.
This is a red X yellow rat snake from last year. He's the little escape artist we named 'skate'. He's still very small for his age as he was born a runt. But he's eating like a corn and putting on size fairly quickly now, so I think he might get to a fair size.
This is Kobe, the western terrestrial garter. He's got the tamest disposition, and he's a totally awesome snake. He was my first reptile, and he's doing great.
The gravid female ribbon again, this picture doesn't show her size at all. She's absolutely huge, and has gotten even bigger since this picture was taken two days ago.
This is the as-of-yet unnamed high yellow kingsnake. He's growing awesome, and his yellow is getting better with each shed. Originally from DNA Reptiles. He's a great snake. But hey, all snakes are great right?
Last one: Me with my hair chopped off. A bad picture, but you can probably recognise me at the Calgary show by it. Hope to see lots of you there, by the way!
So there you have it. Hopefully I can post some more soon, and get the rest of the collection in there. Hope you enjoyed the pics!
