Any possibility that this is the effect of an amel being homozygous for hypo? I haven't seen to many of these mentioned, but given the effect of hypo on snows (producing the coral snows that have enhanced pinks) it is certainly possible that there is an effect that shows when hypo is combined with amel (both homozygous). Would be very interesting to breed this one back to a hypo or to a coral snow and determine if that is the case.
I have posted a photo of a hypo snow with a regular snow yearling (both from Mark Isbell). I have four hypo (coral) snows and all are a lot pinker than the regular snows. The regular snow is the one that has greenish yellow saddles in this picture -
and another of the hypo snows (these were produced from ghost to ghost breedings so I am sure they are homozygous hypo).
