UTH and hard plastics

Will a UTH work well with one of the hard plastic Critter Keeper cages?

Rubbermaid material is one thing, but I want to be sure that the hard plastic used in the Critter Keeper doesn't warp or otherwise break down under prolonged heat.

If you have a rheostat hooked up to it and regulated, it would do no harm to the bottom of teh container. What will you be keeping in it, as it would probably be a bad idea for anything that requires humidity.

Yes. I had one on a Critter Keeper for well over a year with no noticeable affect on the plastic.

A yearling corn from Simon

I've got a simple rheostat, but he'll get the full glory of the Helix I picked up from Grant

When he's bigger he'll go into an intermediate container, then the 75 gallon tank that the two WC garters are in.

Country:
The temps UTH should usually be kept at are less than human body temperature, and often people's homes exceed these temperatures in the summer without a/c. Temperatures this low should have no effect on acrylic or anything similar.
