While in university a painter was in to paint my appartment and he took one look at my Iggy and said; "You eat! You eat!"
That's when I asked him to leave!

I am going to be the bad guy here, I have rescued many iguana's but these people think of them along the same lines as we think of chicken I guess. As long as there is a balance kept.
This bothers me the most...

I agree with Sunrunner. As long as isnt being harvested to the point that it's being endangered I dont see the problem.

Maybe there's an answer for the issue florida has with their population of iggys....
i don't see anything wrong with eating igs that are raised as food. it's no different then us eating pork, chicken, duck, rabbit (how many people have pet rabbits?) or any other animal.

I agree, I have long said we should just eat animals that are over populated. Not that I'm interested in eating dog, cat or horse, but roasted budgie, stuffed dove, and steak o'python sounds good. As long as it's not wild collected.

It's funny, 20 feet away from the alligator lagoon at the Audubon Zoo here in New Orleans, you can get a Alligator Po-Boy. Good Eatin'
