how many rats can you keep in??

how many rats can you keep in a bean farm rat cage ??? 19" X 10.5" X 6.25" size cage ?? would it be big enough for a 1.4 colony or 1.3 ......etc.

I use the ones at bigappleherp.com and they are roughly the same size, just taller. I keep 1.2 in all of mine, but I'm sure if you wanted you could squeeze in 1.3.

Ya, I like the ones at bean farm, but I would personally go with www.bigappleherp.com
and keep 1.2 in them. You could probably keep 1.3 in there. but I wouldn't raise any rats up past a fuzzy, can you imagine like 6 -9 rats in something that small? Even if you are just breeding them, they need SOME room to move. lol

True AGAIN Sapphire, I have overflow bins for my babies from these racks. Much too cramped for anything more than pups.

the cages we use are 18" x 11" x 24" and we keep 1.4 or 1.3 in there.

For our holding cages which may have 30 rats or so the cage is 30" x 18" x 36"
