Today, one of my degus gave birth to her first litter(3 babies) without a problem and i have handled them without any fuss or rejection(you are supposed to be able to do this). Im so glad everything went well! Just had to share it.

congrats! They are so cute as babies aren't they? Mine gave birth to two babies about a week ago, it was a difficult birth and although Mom and babies looked fine afterwards, two days after they were born both babies died for what seems like no good reason.
Good luck with your little goos and keep us posted on how they do, pics would be good too!

Thanks!
Yah they are VERY cute, LOL. Sometimes that happens. I have noticed that with rodents, they will die for no apparent reason but there are UNFORTUNATELY, MILLIONS(arg, not that much but too many) of reasons why they can die. Good luck with their next litter! I will try to get pics tomorow.
